Planning for Your Delivery
When ordering a batch of concrete for your residential project, it’s important to be prepared for its delivery. McCabe trucks are a lot bigger and heavier than you might think!

Space Concerns
- Our trucks are very large, so space planning is of great concern to us. If the concrete is for a project in your backyard, please note that we’ll need a minimum of 10’ clearance to get our trucks to the backyard. We’ll also need to be within 14’ of the area to be poured as that’s the maximum length that we can safely deliver concrete from the truck. Weight Concerns
- Our trucks are large, but they’re also very, very heavy. A full truck can weigh over 35 tons! With this in mind, please note that your lawn may suffer some ill effects if we need to work on top of it. We’ve found that placing plywood down on the lawn can minimize the damage by dispersing the weight over a larger area, but it’s not foolproof. Also note that the weight of our trucks is enough to crack septic tanks in the ground, so it is NOT advisable if we’ll be working in your yard.
